Monday

Monday

There was nothing mosey about this Monday. We got plenty done. Shingled the back of the roof, drip edge on, trash picked up, soffit vents up, ran wire and interior roof vent. And yes we have plenty left to do.

I had a couple of “God Moments” today. I’m sure there were plenty more but these two stood out. First, ice is expensive over here. Three dollars for a 7 pound bag! Well after we had packed our lunch and placed them in coolers (one cooler that we found here) a lady walks in and asks if we have seen a small white cooler with a red top. I said yes we have but our lunches are in it. She said that was OK and she’d get it later. We started talking with her and got into a conversation about ice. As it turns out her husband is the local fire chief.  After some talking she said we can get some ice from them. It’s not something that they normally do so we said that we would be happy to make a donation for some ice.

My second one was that Rich was able to get out of having to leave us on Tuesday and drive to Richmond for a 5 hour meeting then drive back. Not that we couldn’t have gotten the work done but it’s always nice to have your construction leader on site.

Tonight Holly led us in our devotion about doing unto the least of these. Everybody has gone to bed and a storm is rolling in. Hopefully it will cool things off for Tuesday.

It’s been a busy day and all are tired. We are looking forward to the morning (except for the aches). God is with us. Praying for all back home.

God bless you,
Jeff
